Sharjah Outclass Al Jazira to Reach ADIB Cup Final

Sharjah played out a 2-2 draw against Al Jazira at Sharjah stadium in their ADIB Cup semi-final second leg on Monday to reach the final with a 3-2 aggregate win.

The Pride of Abu Dhabi snatched a 22nd-minute lead when Ali Mabkhout picked up the ball on the left side and curled the ball into the far corner from the edge of the penalty area.

The lead did not last long, as Mamadou Coulibaly's own goal canceled out Mabkhout's opener as he inadvertently turned Alhasan Saleh's low cross into his net in stoppage time of the first half.

The hosts turned the game on its head in just two minutes when Luan Pereira fired a first-time half-volley that flummoxed keeper Ali Khaseif.

Sixteen minutes after the hour mark, Bruno De Oliveira
hit the equalizer for Al Jazira when his low effort took a slight deflection off defender Marcus Vinicius.

Sharjah will clash against Al Ain in the final at Al Nahyan Stadium on Saturday, May 27th.
