Sharjah came from behind to defeat already relegated Emirates 2-1 in matchweek 25 of the ADNOC Pro League at Sharjah Stadium on Saturday.
The visitors took an early lead when Mohammed Saeed teed Lithierry Silva up on the left-wing and the latter brilliantly sent a swerving effort from the edge of the area into the far-left top corner beyond the reach of the Sharjah goalkeeper.
Four minutes before the break, Sharjah restored parity when Caio Lucas exchanged a one-two with Ben Malango and drilled it into the bottom corner.
Just before the half-time whistle, the hosts took the lead for the first time in the game when Otabek Shukurov picked up a superb pass from Majed Rashed and found the same corner with a drilled effort from 25 yards out.
Emirates had to finish the game with ten men as midfielder Abdulla Musa was sent off in the 50th minute, receiving a straight red card after pulling down Gustavo Alex.
The result means Sharjah sit in second place with 54 points, while Emirates remained bottom with only ten points having already been relegated from the ADNOC Pro League.
