Shabab Al Ahli Lead Historic ADIB Cup Records With Five Titles

Shabab Al Ahli enter the 2026-27 ADIB Cup as the most successful club in the competition’s history, having won the trophy a record five times.

 

The new edition of the tournament begins on Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20, with several long-standing records in play as UAE clubs return to cup action.

 

Al Wahda sit second on the all-time winners list with four titles, while Al Ain, Al Jazira and Al Nasr have each lifted the trophy twice. Sharjah and Ajman have both won the competition once.

 

Since the tournament began, 22 clubs have taken part, and eight teams have been crowned champions. Al Ain were the first winners in the 2008-09 season, while United will make their first appearance in the competition in 2026-27.

 

Al Jazira lead the all-time scoring standings with 225 goals, followed by Shabab Al Ahli with 215. Al Wahda and Al Ain are level on 210 goals each.

 

Al Wasl are closing in on another milestone, having scored 194 goals. They need six more to become the fifth club to reach 200 goals in the competition.

 

Al Wahda also hold the record for most matches played, with 128 appearances. Al Jazira and Al Ain have each played 125 matches, followed by Shabab Al Ahli with 123, Al Nasr with 122 and Al Wasl with 121.

 

Overall, the ADIB Cup has produced 2,266 goals in 756 matches, an average of exactly three goals per game.

 

Al Wahda lead the all-time wins ranking with 60 wins, ahead of Al Ain on 58. Shabab Al Ahli, Al Jazira and Al Wasl have each recorded 55 wins, while Al Nasr have 52.

 

In the clean-sheet standings, Al Wahda and Al Wasl share first place with 40 each. Al Nasr follow with 38, Al Ain with 35, Shabab Al Ahli with 34,ش and Al Jazira with 30.
