Al Ain have been officially crowned champions of the Pro League U23 after securing an impressive 3-1 comeback victory over Al Nasr on Monday during matchweek 26.
Despite falling behind early in the match, Al Ain demonstrated resilience and determination to overturn the deficit and claim all three points, which confirmed their place at the summit of the league table with a total of 51 points.
Meanwhile, Al Nasr concluded their campaign at the bottom of the standings with just 24 points.
The scoring was opened in the 8th minute by Mame Balla Gning, who capitalized on a misplaced pass from Al Ain’s defense.
Seizing the opportunity, he cut inside the box and expertly curled a shot into the top corner, giving Al Nasr a brief lead.
Al Ain responded quickly. In the 20th minute, Josna Abianfi latched onto a perfectly timed through ball, breaking the offside trap with a smart run and nodding the ball into the back of the net.
The momentum shifted in Al Ain’s favor, and they continued to apply pressure.
On the hour mark, Hazim Abbas delivered a teasing cross from the right flank that took an unexpected swerve, deceiving the goalkeeper and sneaking into the bottom corner to make it 2-1.
Just nine minutes later, Mohamed Awad put the result beyond doubt with a clinical close-range finish, capping off a well-worked attacking move and securing a memorable 3-1 triumph for Al Ain.
With this result, Al Ain not only celebrated a hard-fought win but also lifted the Pro League U23 trophy, marking a successful and rewarding end to their season.
