A brace from Lourency Do helped Al Bataeh secure a 2-1 away victory over Al Dhafra at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium in matchweek 6 of the ADNOC Pro League on Sunday.
It took 30 minutes for the visitors to break the deadlock when Lourency Do capitalized on Khalid Butti Al Zaabi' mistake as he kept his composure and beat the goalkeeper, before slotting into an empty net.
Al Bataeh cemented their lead when Lourency Do grabbed his brace after he picked up the ball inside the box, before hammering a strike into the top corner in the stoppage time of the first half.
Mitchell Quinten Te Vrede reduced the margin in the 74th minute when he brilliantly converted from a penalty spot after he drilled the ball into the top corner despite Zayed Ahmed going the right way, to make it 1-2.
The result means Al Bataeh are now eighth with 9 points, while Al Dhafra remain in 13th place with 4 points.
