Sharjah returned to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 victory over hosts Hatta at Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium on Sunday in Matchweek 3 of the ADNOC Pro League.
Julimar Silva scored twice in the first half, finding the net in the 21st and 27th minutes, before Laba Kodjo added Sharjah’s third goal in the 61st minute.
The victory took Sharjah to six points and fifth place in the ADNOC Pro League standings, while Hatta remained on three points in 13th.
Sharjah dominated the attacking play in the first half and made their pressure count midway through the opening period.
Julimar Silva broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with a powerful strike from inside the penalty area. The forward struck again six minutes later to double Sharjah’s lead and put the visitors firmly in control.
Sharjah continued to dictate the game after the break, and Laba Kodjo extended their advantage in the 61st minute, finishing after being played through on goal to make it 3-0.
Hatta were unable to find a response as Sharjah comfortably saw out the remainder of the match to secure all three points.
Sharjah finished the game with 57.6% possession compared to Hatta’s 42.4%, while the visitors recorded a passing accuracy of 89.24%, compared to 84.24% for the hosts.
Julimar Silva has scored three goals from four shots on target in the ADNOC Pro League, while Laba Kodjo has now scored four goals in six league appearances against Hatta.
