UAE Pro League adopts General Assembly agenda

The UAE Pro League adopted the agenda of the 2020-21 season's regular General Assembly meeting set to be held via video conferencing at 16:15 on Sunday, June 27.

All 14 clubs were invited to the meeting, which will commence by calling the attendees’ names and ensuring a quorum is present. The agenda approval will be followed by UAE Pro League Chairman Abdulla Naser Al-Jneibi's statement.

The minutes of the previous General Assembly meeting will then be approved, and three members will be appointed to review the meeting minutes. In addition, the activity reports will be reviewed, and independent auditors will be appointed. The meeting will then discuss the board’s and professional football companies’ suggestions, according to Article 41 of the UAE Pro League Statute.

UAE Pro League CEO Waleed Al Hosani said that the UAEPL is looking forward to discussing the clubs’ suggestions in order to adopt best practices as they seek to build on last season’s successes. Despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic during the 2020-21 season, Al Hosani believes everyone worked together to achieve success at technical, organizational, marketing, and promotional levels. He added that many initiatives were launched to enhance the work environment and raise efficiency levels of those who work in professional football-related sectors in clubs.

The CEO praised the clubs for sharing their suggestions and recommendations with the UAEPL, which seeks to enrich and improve Emirati football as per the 2020-2030 strategic plan.
