The UAE Pro League celebrated the Flag Day at the league’s headquarters on Thursday, November 3rd, in response to the initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai following his call for everyone in the country to raise the Emirati flag at the same time of each year.
Waleed Al Hosani, CEO of the UAE Pro League, participated along with employees, in the celebration held in front of the Pro League headquarters in Abu Dhabi, where the UAE flag was raised at 11 am, and the country's national anthem was played.
In this regard, UAE Pro League chairman His Excellency Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi said that “Flag Day” is a very special occasion for us, as it is a kind of national day.
He added, "Flag Day symbolizes the celebration of the UAE's countless achievements over the past five decades, as the country has made substantial progress in various fields, thanks to the continuous support of our wise leadership."
"Flag Day is a very special occasion for us, in which we recall the long journey of shaping the Emirati civilization that has become a well-known global beacon among the nations," the UAE Pro League Chairman confirmed.
Al Jneibi stressed, "We, with the determination and giving of the UAE sons, renew our pledge to sustain achievements and do our sincere best to raise the banner of glory and honor high for the homeland of pride, and the bright future."
The UAE Pro League is keen to announce many national initiatives related to these occasions, specifically Flag Day, whether at its headquarters or at the stadiums.
