Al Ahly advanced to the final of the 2025 Egyptian Super Cup after defeating Ceramica Cleopatra 2–1 in the semifinal clash held on Thursday evening at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
Al Ahly began the match on the front foot, pressing high and creating several dangerous chances.
Trezeguet nearly opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a powerful effort, but goalkeeper Mohamed Bassam produced a fine save to keep the score level.
The breakthrough came in the 19th minute when Zizo delivered a perfect cross that found Mahmoud Trezeguet, who finished with a precise header to make it 1–0 for Al Ahly.
Ceramica Cleopatra refused to sit back and found their equalizer before halftime, as Marwan Osman capitalized on a defensive lapse to level the score 1–1 in the 41st minute.
In the second half, Al Ahly restored their advantage through Gradisar, who converted a clever finish inside the box in the 52nd minute to put the Red Devils back in front.
Al Ahly held firm until the final whistle to claim a 2–1 win and secure their spot in the Egyptian Super Cup final, where they will face the winner of the Zamalek vs Pyramids clash on Sunday.
