Champions’ Challenge Returns: Third UAE–Qatar Super Cup Launches in January 2026

The organizing committee has confirmed the return of the UAE–Qatar Super Cup for its third edition, bringing back four days of high-intensity football featuring eight teams, four from the UAE and four from Qatar, in a series of competitions showcasing the top clubs from both countries.

 

 

 

The tournament will run from 22 to 25 January 2026, offering fans a full program of four competitive matches, each carrying its own unique identity and rivalry.

 

 

 

The action begins on 22 January with the Super Cup match between Al Gharafa and Sharjah at Thani bin Jassim Stadium in Doha.

 

 

 

On 23 January, Abu Dhabi hosts the Challenge Shield, where Al Wahda take on Al Duhail at Al Nahyan Stadium.

 

 

 

The third match, the Super Shield, features a fiery encounter between Al Sadd and Shabab Al Ahli on 24 January at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha.

 

 

 

The event wraps up on 25 January with the Challenge Cup, where Al Ahli (Qatar) meet Al Jazira at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

 

 

The third edition builds on the success of the previous tournaments and reflects the continued strength of the sporting partnership between the UAE and Qatar.
