Adel Taarabt's second-half goal was the difference for Al Nasr in a 1-0 home win over Khorfakkan at Al Maktoum Stadium in matchweek 16 of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.
It has been a cagey first half with few chances as the two clubs failed to pose a real threat to the goalkeepers.
After the break, Al Nasr managed to break the deadlock and take the lead in the 68th minute, when Mohamed Almenhali sent an excellent cross to Adel Taarabt inside the box, as the latter used his first touch to smack a right-footed shot toward the bottom corner of the net, beating goalkeeper Ahmed Hamdan Alhosani
The win saw Al Nasr jump up to the eleventh place with 14 points, while Khorfakkan remain in the 10th spot with 16 points.
