Al Nasr put one foot in the semi-finals of the ADIB Cup with a 3-0 first-leg away win over Al Dhafra on Sunday.
Abdulla Anwar had swept Al Nasr into a first-half lead after opening the scoring with a clinical first-time finish from the six-yard box.
The momentum was with Al Nasr, and it was no surprise when they extended their lead in the 43rd minute after Adel Taarabt conjured up a brilliant assist for Abdulla Anwar, who made no mistake, to fire the ball into the back of the net.
Adel Taarabt barely looked up as he threaded the ball through to Abdulla Anwar, who stretched to take a touch before sliding the ball past the onrushing Abdulla Sultan Alnasri.
The second leg between the two clubs will take place on Thursday, December 15th, at Zabeel Stadium.
