Two first-half goals were enough for Al Nasr to secure a 2 -0 win over Al Bataeh at Al Maktoum Stadium in the first leg of the ADIB Cup's first round on Wednesday.
Ryan Mendes put Al Nasr ahead after 18 minutes when he orchestrated a smart one-two with Dembo Darboe, before keeping his composure to lob the ball over the goalkeeper.
Ten minutes later, Yaqoub Hassan Alblooshi cemented Al Nasr's lead when he towered above Bataeh's defense to thump De Carvalho's cross from a free-kick into the back of the net.
The second leg between the two clubs will take place on Friday, November 25th, at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium.
