Al Ain advanced to the final match of the ADIB Cup with a 4-2 aggregate win over Al Nasr after suffering a 0-1 loss to the latter at Al Maktoum Stadium on Sunday.
Al Nasr should have opened the scoring in the 37th minute when Hamdan Alkamali fired a brilliant right-footed effort from a free kick, which was denied by goalkeeper Khalid Eisa.
The hosts broke the deadlock and found the breakthrough in the 59th minute when Omar Juma picked up the ball inside the box and sent a superb cross to Adel Taarabt who met it with a deflected shot into the back of the net, but it did not prove enough to take Al Nasr to the final.
