Shabab Al Ahli returned to winning ways in the AFC Elite Champions League with a 2–0 win over Qatar’s Al Gharafa on Monday evening at Rashid Stadium, in Matchday 5 of the West Zone.
Kauan Santos opened the scoring in the 9th minute with a powerful strike into the left side of the net, giving Shabab Al Ahli an early advantage.
Bala doubled the lead in the 28th minute, finishing confidently to make it 2–0.
With this win, Shabab Al Ahli move to 10 points, climbing to fifth place in the West Zone standings, while Al Gharafa remain on 3 points in ninth.
The victory marks Shabab Al Ahli’s return to form after their 4-1 defeat to Al Duhail in Matchday 4.
