Al Wasl claimed their second consecutive win in the AFC Champions League 2 with a 2-1 win over Jordan’s Al Wehdat in Round 2 of Group A at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman.
Fabio Lima opened the scoring in the 38th minute before substitute Matheus Saldanha doubled the lead in the 63rd.
Al Wehdat pulled one back deep into stoppage time through Junior Ajayi, but it proved too late to deny the visitors.
The result gives Al Wasl back-to-back continental victories and puts the Emperor on top of the group with a perfect six points from two matches.
