Shabab Al Ahli emerged as the league’s most prominent attacking side during the 2025-26 ADNOC Pro League season, topping several key offensive categories, including touches inside the opposition penalty area and shots on target.
The league leaders recorded 688 touches inside the box, narrowly ahead of Al Wasl, who registered 685.
Al Ain ranked third with 647 touches, followed by Al Wahda with 629, highlighting the attacking consistency of the teams competing at the top end of the table.
Shabab Al Ahli also led the league in shots on target with 149, ahead of Al Ain (141), Al Wahda (126), and Al Wasl (124), while Al Jazira completed the top five with 112.
Another indicator of attacking intent was efforts that struck the woodwork. Shabab Al Ahli, Al Ain, and Al Nasr shared the lead with 13 shots hitting the post or crossbar, followed by Al Wahda with 12. Sharjah, Al Bataeh, Al Wasl, and Bani Yas each recorded 11.
The figures also underline the competitiveness among the league’s leading clubs, with only small margins separating the top teams in several attacking categories.
While some sides relied on possession and sustained pressure in the final third, others focused on efficiency and converting chances.
At the other end of the scale, Al Dhafra recorded just one effort that struck the woodwork, while Dibba registered the fewest touches inside the opposition penalty area with 306.
These numbers highlight the variety of attacking approaches witnessed throughout the season and the high level of competition among the league’s top clubs.
