Ousmane Camara’s second-half brace rescued a point for Sharjah as they fought back to secure a 2-2 draw against Kalba in matchweek 20 of the ADNOC Pro League on Tuesday.
The result leaves Sharjah eighth with 21 points, level with ninth-placed Kalba, but ahead on goal difference.
Kalba made the brighter start and took the lead after ten minutes when Shahriyar Moghanloo confidently converted from the penalty spot, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
The hosts doubled their advantage in the 28th minute as Saman Ghoddos finished clinically from close range after a well-worked move.
Sharjah responded after the break and reduced the deficit three minutes before the hour mark, with Ousmane Camara reacting quickest to poke home the rebound.
The comeback was completed in the 83rd minute when Camara struck again, converting from close range after Firas Ben Al Arabi’s penalty and rebound were both denied, securing a valuable point for Sharjah.
