Emirates were crowned champions of the UAE Pro League Sponsors’ Tournament after a thrilling finale brought the fourth edition of the competition to a close on Saturday evening at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi.
The tournament, which featured eight teams representing the League’s leading strategic partners, delivered an evening filled with competitive spirit, skill, and strong camaraderie.
The final match saw Emirates edge Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in a dramatic penalty shootout, securing a 3-2 win to lift the trophy in exceptional fashion.
The winners were crowned by Tariq Al Shabibi, Board Member of the UAE Pro League.
Throughout the competition, the participating teams showed high levels of commitment and quality.
ADNOC opened with a 1-0 victory over Etihad Water and Electricity, while Emirates defeated Etihad Rail 2-1.
The UAE Pro League Social Media Influencers Team recorded a 3-0 win against Salem Al Shueibi Jewellery, and Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental progressed with a 2-1 victory over Rixos Hotels.
ADNOC later secured a 4-1 win over Salem Al Shueibi Jewellery, while Emirates continued their strong run with a 2-0 win against Rixos Hotels.
In the knockout stages, the Social Media Influencers Team overcame Etihad Rail on penalties, and Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental defeated Etihad Water and Electricity 3-2 to reach the latter rounds.
Emirates then booked their place in the final after prevailing 4-3 on penalties against ADNOC.
The third-place playoff saw ADNOC claim the bronze position with a commanding 6-0 win over the UAE Pro League Social Media Influencers Team.
The tournament once again highlighted the UAE Pro League’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnerships through sporting initiatives that combine competition with community engagement.
It also reflected the partners’ continued support for the development of UAE football and the role of sport in promoting a healthy and balanced society.
