The UAE Pro League held a technical workshop on Monday in Dubai to discuss proposed amendments and the agenda for the 2026–2027 sports season.
The workshop reviewed key technical updates proposed for the upcoming season’s competitions, in addition to discussing the new season calendar, with the aim of ensuring integration across all elements of the professional football ecosystem.
The session was attended by Hassan Taleb Al Marri, Board Member of the UAE Pro League and Chairman of the Technical Committee, along with the Pro League's Executive Director, Musab Al Marzouqi, and several officials.
Representatives of professional clubs also actively participated, reflecting the League’s commitment to developing the professional framework and strengthening collaboration with all stakeholders in UAE football.
The workshop opened with a speech delivered by Hassan Taleb Al Marri, who stated:
“We at the UAE Pro League believe in the importance of partnership with professional clubs, which represent fundamental pillars of our football ecosystem.”
He added: “Under the leadership of His Excellency Abdulla Nasser Al Jneibi, Chairman of the UAE Pro League and First Vice President of the UAE Football Association, we have been keen to maintain effective communication with all components of the professional football system in the UAE.
This reflects our firm belief that integrated collaboration is the key to success and that a cooperative system is a sustainable one.”
Extensive discussions took place during the workshop, which witnessed strong engagement from clubs' representatives through their proposals and contributions.
These discussions focused on shaping an optimal competition calendar that ensures fairness, aligns with relevant international standards, and provides full support to UAE representatives to achieve distinguished performances in regional and continental competitions.
