Ajman climbed to seventh place after a thrilling 5–2 win over Khorfakkan at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium in Matchweek 16 of the ADNOC Pro League.
The result lifts Ajman to 20 points in seventh place, while Khorfakkan remain eighth on 18 points.
Although Khorfakkan created the first danger with a header that drifted wide in the 12th minute, it was Ajman who struck first in the 24th minute through Waleed Azaro after a defensive mistake was capitalised upon.
Azaro doubled the lead five minutes later with a powerful header, registering his seventh Pro League goal against Khorfakkan.
Lithierry Silva added the third in the 38th minute, before scoring again in the 56th minute with an impressive individual effort to make it four.
Substitute Anas Mtitache extended the advantage further in the 79th minute, completing Ajman’s five-goal display.
Khorfakkan responded late in the match through Abdalla Elrefaey, who scored twice in the 83rd and 88th minutes, but the comeback attempt came too late to alter the outcome.
