ADNOC Pro League: Shabab Al Ahli Lead as Al Ain and Al Wahda Keep the Pressure On

After 14 matchweeks of the ADNOC Pro League season, the title race involving Shabab Al Ahli, Al Ain, and Al Wahda continues to intensify, not only in terms of points at the top of the table, but also across a wide range of collective and individual statistics that underline the strength and balance of each side.

Shabab Al Ahli currently lead the standings with 35 points, holding a narrow one-point advantage over Al Ain, who sit second on 34 points, while Al Wahda remain firmly in contention in third place with 29 points.

The tight competition is reflected in attacking output, with Al Ain topping the scoring chart with 30 goals, followed closely by Shabab Al Ahli with 28, and Al Wahda with 23.

First-half productivity has also played a key role, as Shabab Al Ahli lead the league with 14 goals scored before the break, compared to 13 for Al Ain, while Al Wahda have recorded 12, matching Al Jazira.

Shooting accuracy further highlights the narrow margins separating the three contenders, with Al Ain and Shabab Al Ahli both registering 72 shots on target, and Al Wahda close behind on 71, demonstrating the consistent attacking threat posed by all three teams.

Another telling indicator is performance after scoring the opening goal. Shabab Al Ahli have converted early leads into victories on 10 occasions, while Al Ain have done so nine times and Al Wahda seven, showing how effectively each side manages matches from a position of control.

The competition extends beyond team performances into individual duels among the league’s standout players.

Laba Kodjo of Al Ain leads the scoring charts with 16 goals, followed by Omar Khrbin of Al Wahda on 11. Creativity has been driven by Dusan Tadić, who tops the assists table with eight for Al Wahda, ahead of Alejandro Romero of Al Ain with seven, and Federico Cartabia of Shabab Al Ahli with five.

Chance creation further underlines the fierce rivalry, with Romero leading the league on 53 chances created, followed by Tadic with 49 and Cartabia with 45.
