Al Wahda and Sharjah shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in their postponed Matchweek 9 fixture of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday, in a contest that was marked by intensity, physical battles and moments of quality in the second half.
The opening 45 minutes proved to be a cautious and tightly contested affair, with both sides prioritising defensive organisation and limiting space in midfield.
Clear-cut chances were at a premium as the two teams cancelled each other out, resulting in a goalless first half that reflected the balance of play.

Both teams continued to push for a winner in the closing stages, with the tempo rising and challenges flying in as the match opened up.
However, despite the high intensity and determination shown on both sides, neither team was able to find the decisive goal, and the match ended level.
The draw sees Al Wahda remain in second place in the ADNOC Pro League standings with 25 points, while Sharjah move to 11 points and sit in 10th position, as both sides turn their attention to their upcoming league fixtures.
