Sharjah produced a stunning second-half comeback to defeat Al Nasr 4–2 in Matchweek 12 of the ADNOC Pro League on Tuesday.
Al Nasr made a blistering start and took the lead inside seven minutes.
Kevin Agudelo provided a moment of inspiration with a brilliantly disguised backward pass that split the defence and released Miérez inside the box.
The striker made no mistake, firing confidently into the net to give the visitors an early advantage.
Sharjah responded swiftly just three minutes later through Igor Coronado.
The Brazilian picked up the ball inside the penalty area, weaved past two defenders and unleashed a shot that took a slight deflection off Salem Sultan, wrong-footing the goalkeeper and restoring parity.
Al Nasr regained the lead in the first minute of first-half stoppage time when Luka Milivojević stepped up to convert from the penalty spot.
The midfielder showed ice-cold composure, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to ensure his side went into the break ahead.
Sharjah emerged from the interval with renewed intent and drew level on the hour mark.
Coronado turned provider this time, collecting the ball outside the box, cutting inside and squaring a perfectly weighted pass across goal for Caio Lucas, who finished clinically from close range at the far post.
The momentum swung decisively in Sharjah’s favour just three minutes later.
Ousmane Camara collected the ball, beat his marker and rounded the onrushing goalkeeper before calmly slotting to put Sharjah ahead for the first time in the contest.
The visitors completed a remarkable turnaround eight minutes after the hour mark as Caio Lucas struck again.
Khaled Ebraheim delivered a pinpoint cross into the area, and the winger applied a clinical close-range finish to make it 4–2 and seal the victory.
The result sees Sharjah move to 11th in the table with 10 points, while Al Nasr remain sixth on 18 points after a dramatic evening of action.
