Shabab Al Ahli claimed a convincing 3–0 victory over Al Jazira in matchweek 11 of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday, scoring once in the first half and adding two more after the break.
The breakthrough arrived in the 36th minute as Shabab Al Ahli’s sustained pressure paid off.
Mohammed Juma skipped past his marker before unleashing a powerful strike that was parried by Ali Khaseif, but Sultan Adil reacted quickest to the rebound, tapping in from close range.
The Dubai-based side doubled their advantage just three minutes into the second half through a slick counter-attack.
Guilherme Da Silva released Yuri Cesar inside the area, and the forward kept his composure to drill a low finish into the bottom corner.
Shabab Al Ahli sealed the result in the 78th minute when Yahya Al Ghassani surged down the left side of the box, gliding past two defenders before cutting the ball back for Breno Cascardo, who calmly slotted home from close range.
The result sees Shabab Al Ahli move up to fourth place with 20 points, while Al Jazira remain fifth on 18 points.
