A goal in the first half and two after the break guided Al Wasl to a commanding 3–1 victory over Dibba in Matchweek 10 of the ADNOC Pro League on Sunday.
Al Wasl made a blistering start, scoring the fastest goal of the league season so far, before Dibba hit back in the 20th minute. Two second-half goals then ensured the points for the visitors.
The result lifts Al Wasl to third place on 18 points, while Dibba remain bottom of the table with three points.
Al Wasl wasted no time in asserting their authority, needing just 127 seconds to break the deadlock. Sergio Pereira showed sharp awareness to latch onto a sublime through pass from Nicolás Giménez, calmly steering a low effort past the goalkeeper from a tight angle to give his side the lead.
Dibba responded in the 20th minute as Saymon De Barros brought his side level. The forward timed his run perfectly to collect Habib Yousuf’s pass, cut inside the penalty area and drove a low finish beyond the goalkeeper to make it 1–1.
Al Wasl regained the advantage a minute after the restart, with Nicolás Giménez turning scorer. The Argentine collected the ball inside the box, showed brilliant footwork to twist past Dibba’s defenders and fired an unstoppable effort into the top corner.
The visitors sealed the win four minutes after the hour mark as Adryelson Silva towered above the Dibba defence to head home Giménez’s cross, with the playmaker turning provider after earlier finding the net himself to make it 3–1.
