Ajman claimed a 2–0 win over Dibba in their Matchweek 9 encounter of the ADNOC Pro League, played at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium, with two late goals sealing all three points.
After a match dominated for long spells by Ajman, the breakthrough finally arrived in the 78th minute when Ismail Moumene produced a superb long-range strike from outside the penalty area to give his side the lead.
The goal highlighted Ajman’s persistence and took the total number of goals scored by Moroccan players in the league this season to 20.
Ajman confirmed the win in stoppage time as Isam Faiz doubled the advantage in the 91st minute with a composed finish from inside the box.
The result lifts Ajman to sixth place in the standings with 13 points, while Dibba remain at the bottom of the table with three points.
Ajman made an early statement in the match, with Junior Flemmings testing Dibba goalkeeper Mohammed Salem in the fourth minute, before Victor Henrique went close on two occasions in the first half.
However, Ajman’s pressure eventually told, as Moumene’s strike broke the deadlock and Fayez’s late goal ensured a deserved victory.
