Shabab Al Ahli Defeat Sharjah 2–0 to Move Into Third Place

Shabab Al Ahli moved into third place in the ADNOC Pro League table after a confident 2–0 win over Sharjah in Matchweek 7 clash at Rashid Stadium.

The hosts controlled much of the game and converted their dominance into goals through Yuri César in the 36th minute and Guilherme da Silva Bala in the 61st. The result lifted Shabab Al Ahli to 14 points, while Sharjah remained on seven, slipping to tenth place.

The match began at a high tempo, with both sides pressing forward in search of early control. Sharjah came close in the 20th minute when Harib Abdalla Suhail embarked on a brilliant solo run, weaving through defenders before being denied by an excellent save from Hamad Almeqbaali.

Shabab Al Ahli gradually asserted their rhythm, maintaining possession and pushing the visitors deep into their half. Their persistence was rewarded when Yuri César ended a 14-match goal drought with a well-timed finish to put his side ahead before the interval.

After the break, the hosts continued to press and found a second goal through Bala, whose powerful strike from the edge of the box left the goalkeeper with no chance. Sharjah responded with a close-range header from Caio, but Almeqbaali produced another superb save to keep his clean sheet intact.
