Al Ain returned to the top of the ADNOC Pro League table with a commanding 4-0 win over Bani Yas at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Matchweek 6.
The hosts wasted no time asserting their dominance, taking the lead in the fifth minute through El Houssien Rahimi, who finished off a fine attacking move with precision.
His brother, Soufian Rahimi, doubled the advantage in the 37th minute after receiving a perfectly weighted pass from Kaku.
The Moroccan star now has six goal contributions in nine league matches against Bani Yas, with three goals and three assists.
Just moments after the restart, Kaku added his name to the scoresheet, firing home Al Ain’s third goal with a superb strike in the 47th minute to make it 3-0.
Bani Yas goalkeeper Fahd Al Dhanhani worked hard to limit the damage, saving a penalty from Palacios early in the second half and denying El Houssien Rahimi another goal with a fine stop.
Substitute Laba Kodjo put the result beyond doubt in the 74th minute, scoring just 11 minutes after coming on.
The goal marked his 126th in the ADNOC Pro League from 135 appearances — contributing to an impressive 150 goals and assists combined (126 goals and 24 assists).
The result lifts Al Ain to 16 points at the top of the standings, while Bani Yas remain bottom of the table, still searching for their first points of the season.
