Al Jazira delivered a commanding performance to sweep aside Bani Yas 4-0 in matchweek four of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.
The Pride of Abu Dhabi stamped their authority early, scoring three times in the first half before sealing the win with a fourth after the break.
Vinicius Mello opened the scoring inside 15 minutes with a clinical finish to set the tone for the visitors.
Then, on the stroke of half-time, Bruno De Oliveira coolly converted from the penalty spot to double the advantage.
Bani Yas’s evening worsened moments later when Khalid Mohamed Hashemi was shown a straight red card for a foul on Mello.
From a free-kick, Abdalla Ramadan stepped up with a moment of brilliance, curling in an unstoppable strike to make it 3-0 before the interval.
Six minutes into the second half, Mello completed his brace, finishing off a flowing move after Hammed Rabii’s precise low cross.
The result lifts Al Jazira up to second place in the standings with seven points, while Bani Yas remain rooted to the bottom without a single point.
