The UAE Pro League organised a workshop to launch the club licensing cycle for the 2026-2027 season on Wednesday, September 10, at Rixos Marina Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The event was attended by licensing officials, finance managers, and legal advisors from all professional clubs.
The workshop opened with a presentation on the latest updates to the club licensing regulations for the 2026-2027 cycle, focusing on financial and legal criteria.
Key amendments to the regulations were highlighted, along with the timeline for submitting documentation through the electronic licensing system.
Sessions also addressed the main challenges faced by club licensing officers during the previous cycle, while sharing best practices and international experiences aimed at raising efficiency and improving overall performance.
The workshop concluded with a presentation on the development programme launched by the UAE Pro League, designed to support clubs in strengthening sustainability across multiple areas.
It is worth noting that the UAE Pro League has been organising this annual workshop as part of its ongoing collaboration with professional clubs, with the aim of enhancing operations and contributing to the long-term growth of Emirati football.
