Shabab Al Ahli capped off a championship-winning season with a 2-1 win over Al Jazira on Sunday night at Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium.
The result sealed a memorable end to the season, with Shabab Al Ahli lifting their ninth league title on the final day.
Al Jazira made a fast start, scoring just five minutes into the match.
Bruno De Oliveira capitalized on a perfectly weighted assist from Abdulla Ramadan to fire the hosts into the lead.
The early goal gave Al Jazira momentum, but their rhythm was disrupted midway through the half when Nabil Fekir left the pitch with an injury and was replaced by Jay Dee in the 27th minute.
The first half ended with both sides pushing forward, but without further goals.
Shabab Al Ahli came out with purpose after the break.
A penalty was awarded early in the second half after a foul in the box, and Luka Milivojevic made no mistake from the spot, equalizing in the 54th minute. The goal shifted the energy firmly in favor of the visitors.
Just eight minutes later, Shabab Al Ahli completed their comeback.
Munas Dabbur rose above the defense to head in the winner from a well-placed set-piece by Cartabia in the 62nd minute.
From there, Shabab Al Ahli managed the match with composure as Al Jazira's attacking threat faded.
The victory lifted Shabab Al Ahli to 63 points at the top of the table, securing their ninth ADNOC Pro League title. Al Jazira closed their campaign with 37 points in seventh place.
