Al Orooba closed out their season in the ADNOC Pro League with a 2-1 away win over Dibba Al Hisn at Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qassimi Stadium in the final matchweek of the campaign.
Neither side managed to break the deadlock in the first half, which ended goalless and lacked clear chances despite efforts from both teams.
Al Orooba came closest in the 55th minute with a header that narrowly missed the target, but the breakthrough eventually came midway through the second half.
In the 72nd minute, Heper Dos Santos put Al Orooba ahead with a low strike that slipped through the hands of the Dibba Al Hisn goalkeeper.
The visitors doubled their lead six minutes later when Tiecoura Traore took advantage of a defensive mistake and fired home Al Orooba’s second goal of the night.
Dibba Al Hisn pulled one back almost immediately, with João Vitor finding the net in the 80th minute to make it 2-1.
However, Al Orooba held on in the final stages to secure the win and end their season on a positive note.
With the result, Al Orooba finish their league campaign with 13 points, while Dibba Al Hisn end the season on 16 points.
