Al Wasl secured an important 2-1 win over Al Orooba on Tuesday night at Dibba Stadium, moving up to fourth place in the ADNOC Pro League standings with 43 points. The win came in Matchweek 24 and kept Al Wasl firmly in the hunt for an AFC qualification spot.

Al Wasl responded quickly. Just four minutes later, Ali Saleh delivered a perfect cross into the box, finding Fabio De Lima, who calmly slotted home the equalizer to level the score at 1-1.
Before the first half ended, the visitors completed the comeback. In the 43rd minute, Nicolas Gimenez set up Siaka Sidibe, who fired home the second goal to give Al Wasl the lead.
The match ended 2-1 in favor of Al Wasl, handing them their 13th win of the season. For Al Orooba, the result confirmed their 20th defeat of the campaign, with their total points stuck at 10 as the season nears its conclusion.
