MAl Jazira and Sharjah shared the spoils after playing out a 1-1 draw at Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium on Sunday in a postponed match from matchweek 16.
Neeskens Kebano had put Al Jazira in front after ten minutes from a penalty spot as he stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Firas Ben Alarabi hit the equalizer for Sharjah from another penalty kick as he stroked the ball into the bottom corner in the stoppage time of the first half.
The result means that Sharjah are second with 45 points, while Al Jazira sit seventh with 32 points.
