Shabab Al Ahli maintained their lead at the top of the ADNOC Pro League's table with a 4-0 big win over Khorfakkan in matchweek 22 at Rashid Stadium.
The hosts scored a goal in the first half and hit three in the second half to get closer to achieving the title.
Munas Dabbur headed the opener after 38 minutes to put Shabab Al Ahli in front.
Four minutes after the hour-mark, Sardar Azmoum cemented the Dubai-based side lead when he towered above Khorfakkan's defense to head in Yuri Cesar's cross.
Sardar turned from a scorer to a provider as he teed up Kauan Santos Silva inside the box and the latter nodded the ball into the top corner with a brilliant sublime strike in the 66th minute.
The hosts were awarded a penalty kick due to a handball on defender Abdalla Elrefaey. Cartabia stepped up and stroked the ball into the top corner ten minutes before the time to make it 4-0.
The result means that Shabab Al Ahli sit at the top of the table with 55 points, while Khorfakkan are 8th with 31 points.
