Al Nasr earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over Dibba Al Hisn on Tuesday evening at Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qassimi Stadium, in Matchweek 22 of the ADNOC Pro League.
In a game that saw limited clear chances, the breakthrough came late. Glauber Siqueira Lima struck in the 88th minute to hand Al Nasr a crucial three points away from home.
With the win, Al Nasr climbed to 33 points, moving into sixth place in the league standings.
Dibba Al Hisn, meanwhile, remain in 13th with 16 points, as their battle against relegation continues.
The first half was largely a midfield battle, with both teams struggling to create serious goal-scoring opportunities.
The only real threat came deep into first-half stoppage time when Dibba Al Hisn’s Alione Ndour launched a quick counterattack down the left, but Al Nasr goalkeeper Ahmed Shambih reacted brilliantly to keep the score level.
The second half opened up slightly, with both sides exchanging dangerous attacks.
Dibba Al Hisn nearly took the lead in the 81st minute, only for Rashed Musabeh to clear a certain goal off the line in a dramatic defensive moment.
Just when it looked like the match was heading for a draw, Glauber Siqueira Lima broke the deadlock with a composed finish, securing all three points for the visitors.
