Title Race, Survival Battle Headline Matchweek 22 in ADNOC Pro League

The final stretch intensifies in matchweek 22, with open scenarios taking center stage in every match.

Ambitions are renewed for all ADNOC Pro League clubs in a matchweek of strong and highly anticipated clashes, set for Tuesday and Wednesday, April 22 and 23, as the season’s thrilling journey continues.

Every match carries weight, and fierce competition exists across the table, whether in the heated title race between Shabab Al Ahli and Sharjah or the tight battle for survival involving several clubs at risk.

Four matches open matchweek 22 on Tuesday, April 22. Two kick off at 17:55, as Al Orooba host Al Wahda at Dibba Stadium, while Sharjah welcome Ajman at home.

Al Orooba, at the bottom of the table with 6 points, must win to keep their survival hopes alive. A loss or a draw would mean their official relegation. Al Wahda, third with 36 points, aim to build their total after falling out of title contention.

Sharjah, second with 41 points, will seek win to increase pressure on the league leaders and remain in the title hunt until the end. Ajman, ninth with 27 points, share the same goal.

The remaining two matches on Tuesday kick off at 20:45. Dibba Al Hisn, second from bottom with 16 points, face Al Nasr, eighth with 30 points. Dibba Al Hisn urgently need the three points to stay in the league, especially as Al Nasr have proven strong on the road.

At the same time, Bani Yas host Al Ain at Bani Yas Stadium. Bani Yas, tenth with 22 points, look to move away from danger and closer to safety, while Al Ain, in fifth, are targeting a top-four finish.

Matchweek 22 continues on Wednesday, April 23. Al Jazira host Khorfakkan at Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium at 17:55. Al Jazira enter with high morale after winning the ADIB Cup, aiming to move beyond sixth place (31 points). Khorfakkan see the points as vital to staying clear of the drop zone.

At the same time, Al Bataeh host Al Wasl at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium, with both teams chasing win. Al Bataeh, 12th with 21 points, are looking to avoid relegation, while Al Wasl, fourth with 34 points, seek to climb further in the standings.

Matchweek 22 concludes in the evening at 20:45, as Shabab Al Ahli host Khorfakkan at Rashid Stadium.

Shabab Al Ahli, leading the table with 52 points, aim to bounce back from their ADIB Cup Final defeat to Al Jazira, and take another step toward achieving their dream of winning the league title this season.
