Al Ain returned to winning form with a 3-0 win over Al Orooba in Matchweek 21 of the ADNOC Pro League, held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Saturday night.
The home side started with attacking intent, pressing Al Orooba early, but couldn’t score the opener in the opening half.
The breakthrough finally came just three minutes into the second half. Laba Kodjo rose high to head home Al Ain’s first goal in the 48th minute.
The momentum continued, and in the 53rd minute, Matias Palacios doubled the lead with a composed finish to make it 2-0.
In the 64th minute, Al Ain sealed the win with a third goal, this time from Sekou Baba, who calmly slotted the ball home after a clever assist from Kodjo.
With this win, Al Ain move up to 33 points in fourth place, while Al Orooba remain last with just 6 points.
