Shabab Al Ahli regained the top position in the ADNOC Pro League standings after securing a 3-1 away win against Al Bataeh at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium in Matchweek 14.
With this win, Shabab Al Ahli moved to 35 points, temporarily reclaiming first place, while Al Bataeh remained in 12th place with 11 points.
In the 19th minute, Shabab Al Ahli broke the deadlock as Mateus Lima found the net after a precise assist from Munas Dabbur.
Al Bataeh fought back and leveled the score in the 39th minute through Ivonei Junior, finishing off a well-orchestrated attack.
However, just before halftime, Shabab Al Ahli regained the lead when Lima converted a penalty in stoppage time.
In the 68th minute, Shabab Al Ahli put the game beyond doubt as Bogdan Planic smashed in a powerful shot following a well-delivered corner from Hareb Suhail, sealing a 3-1 victory.
