Dibba Al-Hisn claimed a 2-1 win over Al Orooba in Matchweek 13 of the ADNOC Pro League, marking their second win of the season.
The result lifts Dibba Al-Hisn to 12th place with 9 points, while Al Orooba remain at the bottom of the table with 3 points.
The first half saw both teams searching for an opener, but chances lacked precision and ended in a 0-0 deadlock, with both sides failing to convert their opportunities.
The match came to life in the second half, with Dibba Al-Hisn taking control.
Their persistence paid off in the 66th minute when Pierre Kunde scored a brilliant free kick from outside the box, giving his team the lead.
Just six minutes later, in the 72nd minute, Al-Juwaini doubled Dibba Al-Hisn’s lead with a dazzling solo effort.
The Tunisian forward dribbled past defenders with ease and delivered a clinical finish to make it 2-0.
Al Orooba, however, refused to go down without a fight.
They came close to scoring late in the game when a powerful shot hit the crossbar.
Their persistence paid off in the dying moments of the match when Abdulla Anwar converted a penalty in the 97th minute, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Despite the late goal, Dibba Al-Hisn held on for a well-deserved victory.
