Bani Yas and Al Wasl played out a tense 0-0 draw in Matchweek 12 of the ADNOC Pro League at Bani Yas Stadium.
The result leaves Bani Yas in 11th place with 9 points and Al Wasl in 7th place with 17 points.
The first half saw an evenly contested battle, with chances for both teams.
In the 8th minute, Bani Yas appeared to take the lead through Youssoufou Niakate, but VAR ruled the goal offside.
Al Wasl responded with a long-range strike from Fabio Lima in the 34th minute, only for the crossbar to deny what would have been a stunning goal.
Bani Yas nearly broke the deadlock in the 39th minute when Lazar Markovic burst into the box and fired a low shot.
However, Al Wasl goalkeeper Khaled Alsenaani pulled off an excellent save to keep the game goalless.
The second half began with Bani Yas pressing for a breakthrough.
Markovic came close again in the 65th minute with a powerful shot, but the crossbar once more intervened to maintain the stalemate.
Al Wasl pushed forward in the 78th minute with a dangerous effort from Lima, but Bani Yas goalkeeper Fahad Aldhanhani made a superb save to deny the visitors a late lead.
Despite both teams' best efforts in the final stages, neither side could find the decisive goal, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
