Al Wasl thrashed Al Orooba 6-0 at Zabeel Stadium in matchweek 11 of the ADNOC Pro League on Monday.
Al Wasl fully dominated the game from the beginning as they needed just 46 seconds to break the deadlock when Ali Saleh met Fabio De Lima's cross from the right side with a clinical finish from a close range.
Fabio De Lima turned from a provider to a scorer as he poked the rebound in to cement the hosts' lead after 15 minutes.
Al Wasl's pressure for netting the third paid off when Caio Canedot timed his run perfectly to head in Abdelrahman Saleh's cross in the 35th minute.
Six minutes later, the hosts added the fourth goal when Jonatas Santos curled a left-footed effort from inside the box to make it 4-0.
Substitute Tahnoon Alzaabi unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, with a slight deflection off Lucas Rosa, giving Al Wasl the fifth goal, nine minutes after the hour-mark.
Fabio De Lima added the sixth for Al Wasl when he successfully turned Lucas Rosa on the byline before smashing his finish into the back of the net from an angle.
The result means that Al Wasl are 8th with 16 points, while Al Orooba sit 14th with 3 points.
