The game began with Khorfakkan taking the lead in the 13th minute through Cheickna Doumbia, who turned a precise cross from Mattheus De Andrade into a clinical goal.
Bani Yas responded with two quick goals in three minutes, as Saile Samuel Souza’s long-range rocket in the 28th minute was followed by Arnaud Lusamba’s close-range finish in the 31st minute.
