Kalba secured an exciting 3-2 win over Ajman in Matchweek 11 of the ADNOC Pro League, in a game held at Kalba Stadium.
The victory helped Kalba rise 17 points, moving them to 7th place, while Ajman remained 10 points in 10th place.
Kalba came out firing, scoring two quick goals within the game's first eight minutes.
Saman Ghoddos opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box.
Just three minutes later, Shahriyar Moghanloo doubled the lead with a well-placed low shot after a brilliant assist from Mehdi Ghayedi.
Ghayedi continued his impressive form, contributing to goals in the last five league matches with three goals and four assists.
Iranian players have been instrumental for Kalba, scoring their last eight league goals.
In the second half, Ajman tried to stage a comeback but faced a significant setback when Abdulhameed Sabiri was sent off with a red card in the 65th minute.
Despite this, Ajman kept pushing and thought they had scored through Waleed Azaro in the 72nd minute, only for his goal to be ruled out for offside.
Ajman’s persistence paid off in the 85th minute when substitute Victor Henrique scored their first goal with a composed finish from a cross.
In stoppage time, the drama intensified as Kalba extended their lead to 3-1 with a penalty converted by Daniel Bessa in the 90+3rd minute.
However, Ajman refused to give up, with Henrique scoring his second goal in the 90+5th minute, making for a nail-biting finish.
