Matchweek 25: Al Wasl vs. Shabab Al Ahli in ADNOC Pro League Title Race Thriller

The ADNOC Pro League title race for the 2023-2024 season has come down to two teams: Al Wasl and Shabab Al Ahli.

Al Wasl hold a significant advantage with 58 points, six points ahead of Shabab Al Ahli, who stand at 52 points.

With only three matchweeks remaining, the upcoming clash between these two teams in Matchweek 25 could decide the league champion.

Al Wasl need just one point from the match to clinch the title, thanks to their superior head-to-head record against Shabab Al Ahli. On the other hand, Shabab Al Ahli must win to keep their title hopes alive.

Matchweek 25 of the ADNOC Pro League kicks off tomorrow, Friday, with four matches focused on survival and improving positions. The matches continue on Saturday and Sunday with one game each day, while the Al Ain vs. Al Bataeh match has been postponed to June 7.

Tomorrow's schedule includes four matches. Hatta will host Al Jazira at Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium. Hatta, already relegated to the First Division, will play without pressure, while Al Jazira aim to improve their league standing. The match starts at 18:15. Simultaneously, Ajman will face Sharjah in another match focused on improving league positions.

At 21:00, two matches will conclude the day. Al Wahda will take on Khorfakkan at Al Nahyan Stadium in a critical match for Khorfakkan, who are 12th with 21 points and need a win to avoid relegation. Meanwhile, Emirates FC will play against Al Nasr at home. Emirates, holding 14 points and in 13th place, desperately need a win to boost their survival chances, depending on Khorfakkan’s results.

On Saturday, one match will take place at 17:00 between Ittihad Kalba and Bani Yas. Both teams are also fighting to avoid relegation, with Ittihad Kalba in 10th place with 24 points from 24 matches, and Bani Yas in 11th with 23 points from 23 matches.
