Intense Encounters Ahead in ADNOC Pro League’s Matchweek 22

The excitement in the ADNOC Pro League continues with matchweek 22 set to unfold over three days, from Sunday, May 5th, through Tuesday.

With only four matchweeks remaining before the season ends, every team is focused on securing crucial points. Current leaders Al Wasl are aiming to edge closer to the title, while Shabab Al Ahli and Al Ain remain strong contenders.

The action begins on Sunday with two matches. Hatta, currently at the bottom of the league, will host Ajman at Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium at 6:05 PM.

Meanwhile, Al Jazira face Bani Yas at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium at 8:45 PM, as both teams look to climb higher in the standings.

Monday features four important matches. Al Ain, seeking redemption and holding onto their championship dreams, will play Khorfakkan at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

Simultaneously, Ittihad Kalba will face Emirates FC at their home ground in a vital match, especially for Emirates, who are just above the relegation zone. Both matches are scheduled for 6:05 PM.

Later, at 8:45 PM, Al Bataeh will host table-toppers Al Wasl at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium, where Al Wasl aims to preserve their lead.

At the same time, Shabab Al Ahli will meet Sharjah at Rashid Stadium in a high-stakes battle, with both teams needing a win to stay in title contention.

Matchweek 22 concludes on Tuesday with a high-profile encounter between Al Wahda and Al Nasr at Al Nahyan Stadium at 8:45 PM.

Both teams are level on 35 points, making victory crucial for improving their league position.

Al Wahda is entering the match buoyed by winning the ADIB Cup title against Al Ain, but Al Nasr's strong form in the second half of the season will present a challenging matchup.

Historically, Al Wahda has dominated the 29 clashes against Al Nasr, winning 16 times while Al Nasr have won 4 games, with 9 draws. The teams have scored a combined 81 goals in their encounters, with Al Wahda netting 52 and Al Nasr 29.
