Shabab Al Ahli opened their 2026-27 AFC Champions League Elite campaign with a 1-0 win over Iran’s Tractor FC at Rashid Stadium on Monday.
Yuri César scored the decisive goal in the 21st minute, putting Shabab Al Ahli ahead early in the first match of the West region league stage.
Tractor tried to respond after falling behind, but Shabab Al Ahli stayed compact and protected their lead until the final whistle to secure all three points.
The victory was also the first win by an ADNOC Pro League club in this season’s AFC Champions League Elite, giving the UAE representatives an early positive result in the competition.
Shabab Al Ahli will next travel to Saudi Arabia to face Al Ittihad in the second match of the league stage.
The UAE has three clubs competing in the 2026-27 AFC Champions League Elite: Al Ain, Shabab Al Ahli and Al Wasl.
