Al Wahda and Ajman played out a 1-1 draw in Gameweek One of the ADIB Cup on Sunday at Al Nahyan Stadium.
Al Wahda struck first in the 12th minute through Spanish midfielder Arnau Pradas, who finished a precise through ball from Dusan Tadic with a composed left-footed shot.
Pradas became the third Spaniard to score for Al Wahda in the ADIB Cup, following Carleitos (2019) and José Jurado (2021).
Ajman responded late in the first half. After Waleed Azaro was fouled inside the box, Dino Hotić converted the resulting penalty in the 44th minute to level the score.
The second half saw Al Wahda dominate possession but struggle to break down Ajman’s defense.
Both teams made several substitutions to inject energy, but scoring chances remained limited. The final ten minutes brought some urgency, with both sides trading near misses, though neither could find a winner.
Gameweek Two will take place next Saturday at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium, where a win for either side will secure progression to the next round.
