Al Jazira Vs. Shabab Al Ahli: What the Players Said Before the ADIB Cup Final

As anticipation builds for the ADIB Cup final between Al Jazira and Shabab Al Ahli at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, players from both sides shared their thoughts ahead of the decisive clash.

Shabab Al Ahli midfielder Luka Milivojević expressed his happiness at being part of the final and the tournament itself.

“I’m pleased to be part of this major occasion. We’re proud to reach the ADIB Cup final,” he said.

Milivojević emphasized that experience will play a vital role in the match, adding that his team is in excellent mental and physical condition.

He praised the presence of sponsors at the final, noting their important role in supporting football, improving its level, and attracting more fans to the game.

Looking to the stands, he hoped for strong fan support, saying:
“We’re always playing to win and bring joy to our supporters. We’re confident in ourselves, and matches like this boost our belief even more. What matters is that all players are fully prepared — physically, mentally, and technically.”

On the other side, Al Jazira midfielder Mohamed Elneny opened his statement by thanking the organizers of the ADIB Cup.

“I’d like to thank everyone involved in organizing this tournament. It’s no surprise — the UAE is always known for excellence in hosting major events,” he said.

Speaking about following manager Hussein Amouta’s instructions, Elneny was direct:
“Since I began playing football, I’ve always followed the head coach’s decisions. He has the first and last word.”

Ahead of the final, Elneny sent a strong message of intent:
“We’re committed to giving everything we’ve got to win the title.”

When asked about his changing roles on the pitch this season, Elneny responded with clarity and dedication:
“I’m always ready to help the team, in any position.”
